The Tories need to change our drug laws – The Times


All this fuss about the wrong confession. Rory Stewart’s admission that he smoked opium at a wedding in Iran, so as not to be rude, is of course the most Tory, and indeed, most British admission of drug use imaginable. At least as much attention, though, ought to have been given to Jeremy Hunt’s chortling, the same day, that “I think I had a cannabis lassi when I went backpacking through India”.

The first thing to say about this is that it’s a bit fishy.
