Virtual career fair to be held for cannabis opportunities

Anyone interested in pursuing a career in cannabis will have an opportunity to learn more about the industry and speak directly with hiring managers from several Massachusetts marijuana establishments at MCR Labs’ “Cultivating an Industry” virtual career fair being held Dec. 2. The event will take place online and feature a panel discussion with active cannabis workers as well as a networking session and virtual job board that will remain accessible to attendees after the event concludes. According to MCR Labs’ Outreach & Event Specialist Melissa Kenton, there are eight licensed cannabis companies with locations spread across the state who have agreed to participate and promote their current job listings. 

Stop & Shop to provide COVID-19 vaccine upon approval

Stop & Shop recently announced that it has signed on to be among the first pharmacies in the U.S. to administer future COVID-19 vaccines, once a vaccine is authorized or approved and recommended for use in the U.S. Through a new partnership with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, designed to maximize access to the vaccine across the country quickly and efficiently, Stop & Shop is set to play an important role in making the vaccines available at its 250-plus pharmacy locations across the Northeast. The vaccine will be administered to Stop & Shop customers at no cost.

Bartholomew & Company opens MetroWest office

Bartholomew & Company, a financial planning and wealth management firm with offices in Worcester, Chatham, and Bedford, recently announced the opening of its newest branch office at 161 Worcester Road, Suite 402, Framingham. John Moran and Jennifer Moran, wealth advisers and vice presidents in Bartholomew & Company’s Private Wealth Management division, will be the primary contacts at the new MetroWest branch with support and guidance from the Investment Management Department, advisers, and staff at Bartholomew & Company’s Worcester headquarters.
