More than 18,000 workers are employed in Michigan’s marijuana business, nearly double the number of cannabis jobs in the state one year ago.
Michigan employs the most cannabis industry workers in the nation and in 2020 improved its share quicker than most other states, according to previous reporting by MLive.
MLive has closely covered Michigan’s marijuana business because the recreational market started in December 2019 and through its proliferation last calendar year. It is continuing to discuss tales of the developing industry as well as the classes entrepreneurs and customers are learning.
The news outlet and its associates are hosting a”Cannabis Industry Insights” virtual forum from 4:30 p.m. to 6 Thursday, June 17 to the business of the cannabis industry.
The series of panel discussions will pay for social equity in the cannabis world, coaching for cannabis companies and how to build social media influence.
There will also be some time for networking after the panels. You may sign up for the case for 15.
The forum will be hosted virtually by Eric Hultgren, MLive director of social networking and articles advertising, and Gus Burns, a reporter focused on cannabis business policy. The group hosted on a similar forum in March. MLive Capitol political reporter Lauren Gibbons will combine Gus in moderating the occasion.

Featured speakers include Robin Schneider, executive director of the Michigan Cannabis Industry Association – the state’s largest marijuana trade group, and Jessica Golich, a dominant social networking influencer and entrepreneur with over 125M+ views on TikTok.
More neighborhood and business leaders will also present their perspectives and insights, and they will be available for networking later on in case:
- Jess Jackson, founder of communications design bureau LOUD.Social, which has launched campaigns to address barriers to obtaining the cannabis industry.

The event is meant for current business leaders and business owners, customers and anyone who wants to find out more about cannabis, CBD and hemp goods.
