Both NOIDECS and also the UK Government have introduced statements recalling two batches of merchandise and advising patients to not use their prescription medication.

The Government website says:’The importer and distributor of the above mentioned products (Eaststone Limited) has advised us of reports both affected batches could be infected with mould. Therefore, these batches are being recalled as a precautionary measure. This recall is being issued because of company-led remember due to the limited number of packs distributed, and Eaststone Limited have full traceability of the forward distribution by their customers.’

Contaminated products

Both products which were diagnosed with toxic mould contamination are Noidecs T20/C4 (THC 20 percent; CBD <4 percent ) Indica Cannabis Flower and Noidecs T20/C4 (THC 20 percent; CBD <4 percent ) Sativa Cannabis Flower.

Carly Barton of all Cancard stated:”That is such a disappointing scenario. Many patients in the UK have spent tens of thousands of pounds to eventually become legally shielded from prosecution for taking the medication which aids themthey do so in the belief that those products would be safer. The fact that patients who live with chronic debilitating ailments are now suffering from mould toxicity only for picking the legal route is unforgivable.

“Comparatively small grow operations which are presently illegal in the UK have high quality control, this is difficult with large scale operations where the necessary care and attention isn’t as viable. Many patients have returned into the illegal market this weekend and also have lost faith in the private clinics. This is the consequence of a profit-driven model. There’s room for a more neighborhood cantered approach — with a health centre and dispensary which arrives from a more real place with strict testing.”

A patient who had employed a contaminated product stated:”These headaches are really bad, this is assumed to be medication, but it’s made me sick. What am I going to do today? How can I trust the next batch? I have been taking cannabis for 30 decades, I have not gotten mouldy merchandise from my dealers.”
